Cindy is currently the Project Coordinator and Research Speech-Language Pathologist for the Carter Center for Neurocognitive Research at the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience (CMBN) of Rutgers University, Newark, NJ. Her current interests include developing techniques for assessment and intervention of children with severely delayed motor and speech development through a grant sponsored by the Carter Centers for Brain Research in Holoprosencephaly and Related Malformations. She also conducts language evaluations for children involved in the longitudinal study of early predictors of later language and learning problems and in the Sante Fe Institute Consortium project. In addition, Cindy is a consultant to the New Jersey Language and Autism Genetics Study (Linda Brzustowicz, PI) at the Autism Center at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. She is also a consultant to the Institute for Child Development at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, NJ.

Cindy received her B.S. and M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Loyola College, Baltimore, Maryland. She is a licensed and school-certified speech-language pathologist with 25 years of clinical experience in pediatric communication disorders. Before joining Rutgers University, Cindy held positions at the Institute for Child Development, Hackensack, NJ and in the Franklin Lakes Public School District, Franklin Lakes, NJ, as well as other clinical positions at a cerebral palsy center and in a Maryland school district.
